My Philips facial hair remover is not working

نشرت في 15 October 2024

If your Philips facial hair remover is not working or not removing facial hair effectively, please follow the troubleshooting steps below.

Note: Check your facial hair remover for signs of damage before each use. Signs of damage include a shaving head that is:

  • Broken
  • Tilted
  • Dented
  • Or has sharp edges.

Do not use your device if the shaving head has any of these defects and contact us for support.

If you're unsure whether the battery of your facial hair remover needs to be replaced, detach the shaving head from the handle and turn on the device. If the pin that drives the shaving head spins, the battery is not the cause of the issue.

If the battery is low, it may result in poor shaving results, hair pulling, or skin irritation. Replace the battery when the performance of the device begins to decline.

If you do not clean your device regularly, you may experience decreased performance, or the shaving head may become blocked.

Unusual noises, declining performance, reduced battery life, less closeness, and hair pulling can all indicate inadequate cleaning.

To clean your facial hair remover:
  1. Remove the protection cap.
  2. Blow on the shaving head to remove loose hairs.
  3. Use the cleaning brush to remove any remaining hair or debris on the shaving head.
  4. Twist the shaving head counterclockwise to remove it.
  5. Blow or brush away any hair that has built up inside the shaving head.
  6. Blow or brush away any hair inside the hair chamber at the top of the handle.
  7. Place the shaving head back onto the device and twist it clockwise to reattach it.

Using an incorrect technique can reduce shaving performance and lead to suboptimal results and increased skin issues.

For best results:

  1. Use on clean, dry skin, and hold the shaving head flat against your skin.
  2. Move the shaving head in small circular motions over your skin. This ensures that you catch hairs growing in all different directions.
  3. Hold the shaving head firmly against your skin, but don't push too hard. The shaving head should not cause an indentation when it's in contact with your skin.
  4. Keep the device moving so it does not remain in contact with the same area for too long. Avoid going over the same area of skin repeatedly.
  5. Apply moisturizer or a mild, alcohol-free balm after using your hair remover.

If you have not used an electric hair remover regularly in the past, your skin may take some time to adapt. We recommend allowing a 21-day skin adaptation period. Use your device regularly while allowing recovery time between each session.

Your Philips facial hair remover is intended for use on your:

  • Cheeks
  • Neck
  • Forehead
  • Jawline
  • The area above your upper lip.

The device is not intended for use on your body or other areas where hair length and density differ from facial hair.

If you have followed the steps above and you are still not satisfied with the results provided by your Philips facial hair remover, please contact us .
