Health is in the air

Indoor clean air is vital to good health.
Every day our lungs take in 24,000 breaths, and around 13 - 14 kgs of air. That’s 7 times more than the amount of food or water we consume. But air quality rarely gets as much attention as our diet.

We spend as much as 75% of time inside, but indoor air can be 2-5 times more polluted than outdoor air.

Scientific studies provide strong evidence for a growing number of adverse health effects resulting from exposure to air pollutants, which occurs both in indoor and outdoor environments. The level of exposure depends on the time spent in each environment as well as the concentration of each pollutant. With high temperatures in the GCC, we spend much of the year indoors, relying heavily on Air Conditioning much more than other parts of the world.

Outdoor air pollution can easily enter your home when the windows and doors are open. But even when they are closed, natural ventilation can bring in allergens and small particles – under 2.5 micrometers – into your home. Though hazards like sandstorms, smog and air pollution catch our attention, indoor air quality often goes unnoticed. Indoor pollutants can result from everyday activities like cooking, cleaning and having a household pet.

Pollen is a common indoor allergen released by trees, weeds and plants that can trigger allergy symptoms. Another indoor allergen is dust, which contains dust mites, outdoor minerals, and other particles that can trigger severe allergic reaction and asthma.

Indoor air quality can be greatly improved with Air devices. Air Purifiers ensure we breathe cleaner, healthier air indoors, whilst Air Humidifiers prevent the air from getting too dried out, by distributing water molecules into the air. A well-humidified room makes the air more comfortable to breathe and helps keep skin from drying out.

A healthy humidity level is between 40-60%.
Dry air dehydrates the body causing headaches, itchy throat, dry skin and increases the chances of catching a cold or flu. In environments where the humidity is low, viruses can survive longer and spread more readily. High humidity promotes bacteria growth and, worse, mold – which releases airborne spores, another common allergen.

Filter maintenance

Our purifier warns you in advance when the filters are wearing out. Then it automatically shuts down when the filter has reached the end of its lifespan.
