Back to school.

Why education thrives on a healthy state of mind

It was once said that ‘an investment in knowledge pays the best interest’. And, it seems the more we invest in education, the more we realise its importance – especially from a young age.

But that’s not to say it’s easy; in fact the opposite, nothing worth having ever does come easy. And as many learn the hard way, there are no short cuts in life. So what do you say we take the right path for your child’s future, together?

Here’s a small roadmap, expanding on our recent newsletter to make life a little better, by forming a few good habits early on. Spoiler: it all comes down to creating a healthy state of mind.

Let’s get creative with smoothies

As mentioned, studies from the Journal of Nutrition & Food Sciences, suggest adopting a 1-a-day method when drinking smoothies. It is seen as another essential way of topping up your intake of fruits, vegetables, fibre and micronutrients.

The end goal is to ensure full concentration and being alert throughout the school day.

The only caveat is that smoothies contain high levels of natural sugars, so do manage portion sizes.

To get you started; here’s a simple recipe, made in seconds with the Philips High Speed Blender (HR3652). Learn more about this model.
