This dish is a family favorite, everyone likes fried chicken, but here is a healthier way to prepare it. Coat it with almonds as well to provide a more nutritional meal for you and your loved ones.
Ingredients
- 200g skinless chicken breast
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 2 tablespoons fine dry bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons almond flakes
- ½ teaspoon snipped fresh thyme
Directions
- 1. Rinse chicken breast and pat dry with paper towel
- 2. Cut chicken in 2 pieces
- 3. Place flour in a shallow dish
- 4. In a second shallow dish place whisk together egg and milk
- 5. In a third shallow dish combine bread crumbs, almond and thyme
- 6. Coat all sides of filet with flour then in egg mixture and finally into crumbs mixture
- 7. Fry the coated chicken breasts until golden
- 8. For the potato wedges, drizzle olive oil, add garlic powder, paprika and salt (quantities as per taste)
