Video format not supported during DLNA connection

Published on 2017-03-01

If the video format is not supported by your media server, you can get an error message.

When a video format is not supported, some media servers re-encode the video to a format that is supported. This is called transcoding.

By default, Tversity media server transcodes only when needed. You can change the settings so that it never transcodes.

  1. Open your TVersity media server
  2. Select Settings > Transcoder
  3. Change the setting to Never
