How to get Open-Source Software for my Philips player?

Published on 2017-02-28

Open-source software (OSS) is computer software for which the source code availability and certain other rights normally reserved for copyright holders are provided under a software license that meets the Open Source Definition or that is in the public domain. This permits users to use, change, and improve the software, and to redistribute it in modified or unmodified forms.

For normal usage of your Philips product the source code is not needed and does not bring you any added value and/or features.

Philips Electronics Hong Kong Ltd. hereby offers to deliver, upon request, a copy of the corresponding source code for the packages for which such an offer is requested by the respective licenses. This offer is valid up to three years after product purchase.

To obtain the source code, please forward your request directly to open.source@philips.com. You may contact open.source@philips.com or if you prefer not to use email or you do not receive a confirmation receipt within a week of mailing this address, please write to Open Source Team, Philips Intellectual Property & Standards, P.O. Box 220, 5600 AE Eindhoven, The Netherlands. If you do not receive timely confirmation of your letter, please send an email to the address above.

The information on this page applies to the following models: BDP5200/12 , BDP7500B2/12 , BDP3100/12 .
