I have forgotten my Philips TV 4-digit pin code

Follow the instructions below to reset the 4-digit access code if you cannot remember it.

Step 1-3

  1. Press the [Home] button on the remote control to access the home menu.
  2. Use the cursor buttons [Up], [Down]. [Left] and [Right] to select [Setup] and press the [OK] button to confirm.
  3. Select [Channel settings] and press the [OK] button.

Step 4-8

  1. Press the cursor [Down] to select [Child lock] and press the cursor [Right].
  2. Press the cursor [Down] to select [Change code] and press the cursor [Right].
  3. When the prompt 'CURRENT CODE' appears on the screen, enter the universal code 8888.
  4. Then enter an easily remembered new 4-digit access code and enter the new code a second time for confirmation.
  5. Press the [Back] button to exit the menu.

If you have not set your personal 4-digit access code when you first turned on the TV, you need to do this before you can use the Child lock feature.

  3. Select [Channel settings] and press the [OK] button.

Step 4-7

  1. Press the cursor [Down] to select [Child lock] and press the cursor [Right].
  2. Press the cursor [Down] to select [Set code] and press the cursor [Right].
  3. When the prompt 'NEW CODE' appears on the screen, enter an easily remembered new 4-digit access code and enter the new code a second time for confirmation.
  4. Press the [Back] button to exit the menu.
