Your Philips kettle should switch off automatically when the water is boiling. If it stays on, please read along for possible causes and solutions.
My Philips kettle stays in the "ON" position
The lid has not been closed properly
Make sure you close the lid properly after filling your kettle with water. If the lid is not closed correctly, the kettle will not switch off automatically.
The maximum level indication was exceeded
For safety reasons, your Philips kettle has a maximum (MAX) level indicator that indicates how much water it can contain. If you fill in your kettle above this MAX level, hot water could come out from the spout.
Also, if you do fill your kettle above this indication, water could go into the steam tube and cause the kettle to stay in the “ON” position.
Please do not add water above the maximum level indication.
