My Philips Steam Generator Iron does not produce any steam

If you checked all the solutions below and your appliance is still not producing steam, please contact us for further assistance. There could be a technical issue with your steam generator iron and we will be glad to help you.
The water tank is not place correctly
Ensure you have placed the water tank all the way into the steam generator iron until you hear a "click".
There is no water in the water tank
If the water level in the water tank is below the minimum, or empty, your asteam generator iron will not generate steam. Ensure that there is water in the tank or that the water is above the MIN level icon. After this, your iron should work again.
The iron is not ready to steam
Your Philips Steam Generator Iron needs time to heat up before it is ready to produce steam. Please wait until the blue/white 'iron ready' light stops flashing and lights up continuously.
The steam trigger is not pressed / setting is incorrect
To generate steam, please make sure to press the steam trigger.
If you have a Philips Steam Generator Iron with a temperature dial, always set the temperature dial at the 2-dot, 3-dot, or LINEN position as shown in the image below. Please make sure to set the temperature to the steaming zone (2-dot or above) on the temperature dial as shown in the image below before releasing steam.
The automatic steam mode is off
If you prefer to use the automatic steam mode, make sure the light indicator for this mode is illuminated on top of the handle. Then, simply move your Philips Steam Generator Iron to activate the steam.
The iron needs to be descaled
When the Calc-Clean light starts blinking, and you hear a beeping sound, please descale your Philips Steam Generator iron. Please follow the de-calc instructions in the U
If you descaled your appliance (and checked the other solutions mentioned in this article) but it is still not producing steam, please contact us for further assistance.
There is a delay when using for the first time
When you press the steam trigger for the first time, you will experience a delay of around 30 seconds. During these 30 seconds, keep pressing the steam trigger until steam comes out.
Note:
• The pumping sound you hear is normal.
• If the iron was stored for a long time, the delay could take up to a few minutes.
