What is DECT?

Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (Digital European Cordless Telecommunications), usually known by the acronym DECT, is a digital communication standard. It is primarily used for creating cordless phone systems

DECT is commonly used in home and small office systems; but it is also available in many PBX (Telephone exchange) systems for medium- and large-scale businesses

In addition to cordless phones, the technology is applied in other voice applications such as baby monitors.
