Half-up, half-down styles are great for weddings: the natural beauty of wearing your hair down, accessorized with braids or buns. If you want simple wedding hairstyles that you can do yourself, the combined braids style is perfect.
As part of your hair will be down for this style, think about how you want your loose hair to look. Depending on your hair type, you may want to put some waves in your hair before you begin, or you may want to straighten it for easier braiding. You can use straighteners for both purposes:
- Tie a three-strand braid from each temple.
- Pull the two braids around the back of your head to meet in the middle, as far up or down as you’d like.
- Hold the two braids together with a hair tie.
- Undo the braids from the tie down.
- You can leave your hair as it is, with the braids linking and becoming a kind of ponytail, in which case you might want to replace the hair tie with a more elegant hairclip. Alternatively, you can remove the tie and braid together the ponytail part, so the two braids become a single braid down your back. You could even turn the point where the braids link up into a bun. It’s up to you!
