Philips has launched new healthcare innovative projects in partnership with the Ministry of Health at the Global Health Exhibition 2019 in Saudi Arabia towards Vision 2030

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 16 September 2019: Philips, is one of the healthcare provider in the Kingdom, has introduced three healthcare technology projects in partnership with the Ministry of Health, at Saudi Arabia's premier healthcare platform, the Global Health Exhibition, which took place from the 10th-12th September 2019.
 

With Saudi Arabia’s strong drive for Healthcare transformation and digitization in line with Vision 2030 and NTP 2020 as well as the Saudi healthcare market being the largest and fastest growing in the region, Philips has worked closely with the Ministry of Health to improve access in the Kingdom to high-quality healthcare services.
 

The three digital healthcare projects that the Ministry of Health and Philips introduced during the Global Health Exhibition 2019 provide innovative solutions to address important areas in healthcare within Saudi Arabia. These projects are intended to enhance patients’ access & experience of care, improve the overall health of the Saudi population, create a stress-free environment for health professionals through time efficiency, and reduce the per-capita cost of healthcare.

AI Enabled Radiology Operations Command Center

The Ministry of Health and Philips are collaborating to optimize radiology operations and resources by establishing an innovative state-of-the-art Radiology Operations Command Center (ROCC) using Philips’ latest solutions and Philips’ design. Philips’ design will support in the concept design of the radiology department at the Ministry of Health to create an innovative, stress-free environment for health professionals working in the command center.

eHIA “eHealth ICU Advocate” Tele-ICU Pilot

In collaboration with Saudi Telecom Company (STC), the largest telecom operator in the Middle East, Philips will deploy its unique Tele-ICU platform - enabled by latest technology innovations in Adaptive Intelligence and Predictive Analytics. The Ministry of Health will launch this first-of-kind pilot that delivers standard Artificial Intelligence supported critical care services to patients, independent of their hospital location.

Population Health Management

In collaboration with Philips VitalHealth platform and Lean Business Services prompting E-Health in Saudi Arabia, this program will enable the Ministry of Health to screen 500,000 patients diagnosed with hypertension and diabetes, thereby increasing their overall stability. The chronic disease platform launched in primary healthcare clinics will help add patient's up-to-date data to files, track annual and periodic examinations and facilitate patient follow-up on an ongoing basis which eases the process of diagnosis.

 

The Philips VitalHealth platform, acquired by Philips in 2017, boasts a strong track record with previous successful projects and works as a key enabler of E-Health innovation in Saudi Arabia. Along with Lean Business Services that enables the stakeholders within the health industry to work towards a smart healthcare system.
