Philips hosts outstanding sleep meeting in Middle East

Estimated reading time: 2-3 minutes

On December 8th and 9th, Philips SRC successfully sponsored the 9th annual Gulf Sleep Medicine Meeting (GSM Meeting) in Dubai. This annual event is organized and sponsored by Philips in collaboration with local sleep societies, and is endorsed by the College of Medicine in UAE University. The GSM Meeting is the premier sleep meeting and platform for networking with sleep healthcare professionals in the Middle East region.

This year’s meeting was attended by over 140 healthcare professionals—the most in its almost decade-long run. Distinguished speakers and key opinion leaders were invited from the United States, Europe and the Middle East, enriching the scientific content of the meeting. Multiple workshops and research presentations were carried out during both days, and attendees were eligible to receive 10 CME.

Throughout the event, Philips showcased our latest innovations in sleep therapy, with a special focus on DreamStation Go, DreamWear and Amara View. These new solutions gained great momentum and strong attention by most healthcare professionals in attendance—sure to be a boon for Philips leadership position in Middle East markets going forward.

The new solutions we presented garnered a lot of attention from the Middle East healthcare professionals at the meeting, and we expect that momentum to help fuel Philips’ leadership position in the region’s markets,”

said Mark D’Angelo, Business Leader, Sleep.

Dream Station Go

This outstanding event brought a fitting close to a successful 2017 .Thanks to the Philips SRC team in the Middle East and to the full BG for its support to bring this fantastic meeting to life!
